INTERACTION is a series that began during the pandemic, driven by my interest in the layering of striped patterns. In today’s society, the phenomenon of “echo chambers” has become a subject of concern. On social media platforms, the repeated exposure to similar viewpoints creates an illusion of intersecting order among individuals who may never have met face-to-face. This social condition is reflected in the overlapping stripes within my work.
Colors such as yellow and orange frequently appear in my pieces. Like the striped motifs, these hues serve as visual cues that draw attention. The layered stripes may appear to clash or harmonize depending on the viewer’s perspective, yet neither layer dominates the other. By working with stripes—a universal and adaptable form of expression—I seek to observe society from a broader standpoint and offer visual insights into our present time.
